Chiang Mai Cont...2


Early morning, we went to the same massage school again before we leave old city.

This is a must try!!!
Located along Lumpoon Road, between Iron Bridge and Nawarat Bridge.
A restaurant that sells noodles and side dishes.

The dry noodles has an unique sour and yet distinct taste, mainly from kariff lime. 
Shiok! ranging 55-65thb per bowl.

On the way to Doi Suthep.
Take a songthaew to the mountain foot for 40thb, then change another songthaew to the hilltop for 40thb.
Reached the foot of Doi Suthep and walk 309 steps to the top.
Entrance fee 30thb for Doi Suthep

Lang Mor Market
Very near to Chiang Mai University, popular with youngsters.
Custard pancakes (4 for 20thb)
There are a few outlet for Mookata . Finally settled with this for 179thb including drinks.

After dinner, we proceed to Nimmanhaemin.
This is an upcoming, upmarket and happening district.
This is the first time I saw Starbuck outlet that looks like a bar.
Lots of restaurants and bar aroung this area.

Quickly grabbed a packet of noodle for supper for our last night.
Overall, Nice food and people here in Northern Thailand.
Saturday and Sunday Night Market should not miss.
Massage is value for money. Cooking class is also our highlight of the trip. Tax refund is approx 4% and purchase more than 2000thb per outlet. Custom office only opens 8am onwards.

This is a biggest shopping mall in Chiang Mai. Newly opened a few months back.
Saboten
Nice food and almost half the price than in Singapore. 310thb per set Free flow rice, soup and cabbage.

Cooking lesson in Chiang Mai

Pronounce as song diao. Cheapest public transport.
Fares are usually 30-40thb per person.
Custard pancake (15thb for 4)
Pomelo (20thb per pack)
Strawberries ranging from 80-200+thb per pack.
There are code for the strawberries, based on different species.
Warorot Market
Their local market that sells groceries, food, clothings, shoes etc...

This stall located on the 3rd level.
Most stall already closed and we were lucky to find this.
We ordered 2 noodle soup, braised pig trotter and minced pork omelette.
Can't really communicate, just point the noodle we want. Every dish was awesome!
Total cost 180thb.

20thb entrance fee for tourist.

Similar like our Yong Tau Foo, just choose the items and they will deep fried for you.
Around 3pm, we walked back to our guest house waiting our cooking instructor to fetch us.
First, he brought us to a local market, introduce us some common vegetables that is used in Thai food before proceed to the cooking school.
