GG's fav, irresistibly... the tenderness, sweetness and fats of the char siew simply just melts in your mouth. Feel so sinful hahaaa:)

Its not easy to locate this place as it does not looks like an eating place and there is no signboard.

You may find the name of the stalls on the glass panel if you look closely at it.

Trip to KL/ Genting

We bought our breakfast from the coffeeshop diagonally opposite our hotel, Jln Imbi (corner coffeeshop opp Honda Kah Motors) Char kway teow, Wan ton mee, mini egg tarts...Mini egg tarts is nice, freshly baked from oven, $0.80RM each.

After checking out from hotel, we proceed to Jln Alor.
This is the 2nd time trying this outlet, hoping they will improve but unfortunately they have not.

We proceed to Genting with my unfilling stomach, and right after checking in Resort Hotel we bought some Famous Amos cookies and ate a set meal in Marybrown. Grab an ice cream from Basin Robbins, that's the favourite ice cream for my 3 kids, they sure bug to buy whenever they come to Genting.

After filling our stomach, CS wants to play pool and we go for an hour game ($12RM per hr).

6.30pm we go for dinner.

I had chosen this Thai Tze Char in the foodcourt located at level 2B, first stall from the entrance.

I had tried this once at Shah Alam, it was very good. I didn't even know that was shrimp roe, taste neither like fish nor chicken. Cripsy outside and tender inside. This one is not cripsy enough, if not will be a very nice dish.

After dinner, CS went to Lan shop for Wii game. $25RM per hour (2 players)

Just after her game, I had gastrictic pain and went to Watson to buy some medication and was advised by them to see doctor instead. CS even take photo while I am attended by the doctor.
$70RM for late night charge including medications. You can even buy medication without consulting the doctor:)

We suppose to watch movies and go to karaoke but due to my condition, we need to postpone our plan. Movie tickets is very reasonable here, $11.50RM for weekend rate, and their showtimes till 3+am.

Trip to Melaka/ Kuala Lumpur

Drive up to Melaka, to avoid heavy traffic, we started our journey at 5.30am.
Due to the school holidays, we still caught abit jammed and only passed the immigration custom of Malaysia around 7+am.

Melaka is 200km from Singapore, and another 75km drive to the town. Est driving time will be 2.5hrs. As schedule, we reached the Dutch Square before 10am.

Next, we go for our Homemade Nyonya Kueh.

252 Jln Tengkera Pantai 2C ( Charlie +60196662907/ +602847209) (Turn left into small lane, opp white mosque) It definitely not easy to find without proper direction.

It was known that most masar malam bring in the kueh supply from here. Pretty cheap comparing from us, per pcs $0.60RM. We bought about 12pcs, not nice!!! Waste of time, hard and not tasty. Should have know, not to trust pasar malam delicacies.

Along the street, there are shops selling wood crafts, souvenirs, clothings and cafes etc....

During Fri, Sat & Sun, evening time the street will be closed for night markets and no cars are allowed.

This only 2nd and 3rd part of the house, the depth of the peranankan house in Melaka is extremely long. About 3-5times longer than those in Singapore. Standing outside of the house, you cannot imagine how in depth it could be.

This is the first time coming to this restaurant, price is not ex, approx. $8-9 RM per dish.

Ambience is nice, can consider a better class restaurant.

Food is totally out but if you want to check out more info about nyonya, you may want to drop in. There is a Nyonya gallery with some photos, furnitures, history etc...

This restuarant was highly rated online, nyonya kueh is also found online. Lesson learnt, online is not always reliable...

Another Must Try in Melaka, Putu Piring. Located @ 252 Jln Tengkera (next to Toto shop). Open only after 7pm, is a family business, so the stall is just outside their house. I had tried once, very good. Best of the best I ever tried.

After lunch, we proceed to our next destination, Kuala Lumpur.

I had booked 2 rooms in Dorsett Regency but their systems have only 1 record. During their checkings, they offered us free fruit punch while we sat in their lounge. As the hotel is almost packed and finally, they managed to get another room for us. A free upgrade to suite for both room. Usual: $800RM++ per night

The initial superior room we booked was $135RM++ (promotion price)

There are writing desk, 32" plasma TV, living hall with sofas, 25" TV etc....

Interior is pretty nice, overall is a good hotel (4*) to stay in with the price. Value for money.

After dinner, we walk and hopped in to this new shopping mall, Pavillion.

Very big and CS and me are very impressed. Much better than any of the current shopping malls in Singapore. Some brands Singapore don't even carry in.

Their luxuries shop are so stylo, most of them are loft designs.

Near 10pm, most shop are closing and we are caught in a rain.

CS suggested to come into this spanish bar and have a drink.

Rain stopped, and we follow our schedule to Chinatown.

Petaling Street (茨厂街)

Unfortunately, most of the stalls were almost closed. we walked one round and headed back.

Alot of taxi parking around the vincinity and touting for customers. A trip back to Bukit Bintang may only cost $3-4RM, they will charge a fixed rate from $10-20RM.

As we are not in hurry, we flagged a few cabs till those who willingly to switch on their meters then hopped on.

On the way, we decided to alight in Jalan Alor and buy some supper back to hotel.

We went to Wong Ah Hua (the end of Jln Alor)for their grilled chicken wings, very popular here. $2.10RM per pcs.

And after take a stroll back to our hotel, approx. 7-8mins
