Day 8- Kinosaki/ Kyoto

Early morning went to Jizouyu Bath, just next to my accomodation.

Very decent and spacious Onsen.

Overall, I like Satonoyu Bath most and Jizouyu Bath second. Goshonoyu Bath has the most outdoor bath but just too crowded to my liking.

Very nice! the eggs is not overcooked and the rice is soupy.

 After breakfast, I took the 10.35am train back to Kyoto.

And back to Guesthouse Usagi Momiji.

Change to a smaller room.

Izuju was found 100 years old ago. 

 As Kyoto is 70km away from Japan sea, Nigiri sushi was introduced to Kyoto 80years ago.

Inari Sushi is so flavorable with Hemp seeds

 Saba Sushi is probably the best sushi I ever ate!

Just the rice alone is already tasty. The outer layer is wrapped with konbu (kelp).

Day 7- Kinosaki

Bought a Bento to eat on train (880yen)

The corn soup and green tea is from dispenser machine, nice. 

Bento is cold and beef is stiff but still flavorable.

It takes 140mins from Kyoto. Reached 11am

The shops and restaurants mostly close at 5-6pm on this street.

Very friendly host with little english.

5600yen per night + 350yen onsen tax.

  Free onsen pass for 7 public baths.

From 1400-2300hrs and next day from 0700-1000hrs

 Welcome drink from the host, Miki

 It also provides Kimono, socks, bath bag, towels, toothbrush.

Season for Matsuba Crab

Fishermen only allow to catch the crabs on 7 November to 31 March yearly.

 

 Okesho Fresh Fish Market

Restuarant is upstairs and another outlet just a few steps away.

The second outlet nearer to trains station.

I have a sumptuous lunch.

And Oh goodness, the taste is robust!!!

Goshonoyu Bath

Highly recommended by my host and is the most crowded one.

There is one indoor, 8 outdoor onsens.

 Kounoyu Bath

This is a more quiet bath and one of the furthest.

A quiet and beautiful old town.

Just mere 7pm and hardly see anyone on the road.

Recommend by my host. Probably the worst meal i had in this trip:(
