Last day in Taipei

Day 9

Today will be my last day, wake up early for breakfast before headed to Airport.
Took bus to Datong.

From 重慶北路 walk to 大龙街 to try the other 蛋饼。

Back to hostel and buy a white bitter gourd drink.
This is just below my hostel and very popular, had seen long queue all the time.

My hostel staff also recommend me 源之宝 for their dumplings.

From Ximen, best way to airport is to take the MRT to Beimen (instead of Taipei Main), then transfer to airport shuttle train. Lesser crowd, shorter walking distance.

There are also check in counter in Beimen station.

Forget bring my gift to Mindy and got to send to her via post.

Bought irvin salted egg chips for her, buy a box and postage 65twd.
She received in just 2 days, very efficient.

That day had missed 刘妈妈饭团, today came back again to try.
Ordered 招牌紫米饭团 45twd.

Alot ingredients, taste complciated. Prefer the other traditional rice roll across the road.

Next, take bus to 迪化街。

This 油饭 seems popular, next time can try.

Wanted to try this but wrong day.

This 2 shops next to each other are brothers.

My previous visit was very nice but this time is very bad. Will never go back again.

Found back my favourite fried mutton.
They are open at 1-3am (still operating push cart), now they have a stall at a back alley in Shilin open 5-8pm.

Today back to hsotel early, took a shower relax and come down to buy back supper.
While waiting, went to this massage palour for foot reflexology.
30min for 400twd.
I had the viet gal number 38, she is very good!

Order for take away, no need queue. Waiting for 50mins around 1030pm.

Still very good, the chye poh and garlic compliements very well.

Day 7

Visit 永和 and try out their rice roll. Very disappointing, so far the worst rice roll I have eaten in taiwan.

Rice roll 40twd, soy milk 25twd.

Took TRA train to Taoyuan to visit Mindy.
Mindy and her god daughter, Ellen pick me up at the train station and today our programme is visit water lily since this is the season now.

Went to their farmer's supermarket, the staff using a machine to break the shell of the lotus seed.

According to Ellen, this is the best popcorn chicken in Taoyuan. It does have a different flavour, I taste prawn paste flavour in it.

They say this is the best green tea here.

And this is also their another favourite.

We had the Mongolia mala and Mongolia Yangsheng soup.

They have 6-7 types of prawns, their prawns here is really good and fresh.
Plenty of drinks and few types of beer free flow. 16 types of hagen daaz, 5-6 type of MEiji ice cream etc...

After the steamboat, we walked Tesco just 5mins away.
