Reached Castellana Grotte in an hour. We missed the English tour and we followed the Italian tour instead. Due to limited time, we took the short tour (50mins, 1km, 10eur).
Castella Grotte
The Grave (chasm) makes up the entrance into the fantastic karst complex. In its middle stands out the colossal stalagmite group called The Cyclopes. It measures 60m in depth, 60m in width and 100m in length.

The city of dry stone dwellings, it is a town in the province of Bari in the region of Puglia.
Plenty of parking around the Heritage Site.
Easy to use parking machine, just insert the coins and key in 3 digit of car number will do (1-4pm is free).

A traditional dry stone hut with a conical roof.

Shop vendors here are very friendly, they invited us to go up to their terrace to take some photos.

Many Trulli have symbols painted onto their cones. These symbol have religious or mystical significance and were meant to protect the inhabitants.
