Bangkok, Day 1 (2014)

14-8-2014
Haven't been in Bangkok near 9 years.
This time chose to stay in Silom. Taxi from Don Muang Airport cost 250b exluding 110b Toll fee.
Triple 8 Inn
1060baht including tax per night
Twin deluxe room
BTS is 6-7 mins walking distance.

First stop, Chatuchak Weekend Market. Only open Sat & Sun. BTS to Mo Chit Station
This garlic bread is nice
20b per piece

The popular Coconut ice cream
Stop by a stall for pork noodle (50b)..
GG craving for crepe.
This is the famous coconut stall.
Much better than the earlier one. Come with free coconut drink.
We alight at Ratchathewi Station and take a Tuk Tuk to Pratunam.
100b per trip.
After this, we realised taking a taxi is much much cheaper than Tuk Tuk and Train. Most of our journey cost 50-60b in our this trip. Tuk Tuk easily cost 100-150b. If there is 2 or more to travel, taxi is much more worthwhile. No need to walk up and down the stairs...
But remember must mention to turn on meter, there are still alot Taxi don't turn it on.
Opposite Platinum Mall.
Just in front of Shibuya 19.
Seadfood handmade ramen & pork handmade ramen.
40b each.
Light and refreshing soup. I prefer the seafood one.
Will try their salted baked fish next time.
Central World
Make reservation before you go.
This place is very popular and body massage is a must to make booking.
We only manage to get foot relexology for walk-in.
280b pp (1hr)
