Day 1 (12-5-2017)
Reached Fukuoka Airport at 8am, went to JAL office to pick up my SunQpass Northern Kyushu (3 days). Booked online at Japanican website for 25% discount @ 6000yen (UP: 8000yen).
Walk to the bus stop right outside the airport to Beppu.
This ride is covered by SunQpass. (UP: 3190yen)
The bus was late by 7-8mins and arrived 20mins late, I had encountered numerous time of late train n bus in Japan. Europe is more punctual in transport comparing to Japan.
Finally arrived Kitaham bus Station at 11.40am (when it suppose to be 1110hr). Walked 7mins to my guesthouse.
GUEST HOUSE ROJIURA
3240yen per night for female 8 bed dorm
Although the counter is not open till 4pm, the locker is free to use to keep our belongings/ luggage.
Spotless clean environment but managed by an Indian lady which is not that friendly.
After leaving my luggage, walk 3mins to main station.
Hand onsen
Took Bus 26 to Kaihin Sunayu. All bus (UP: 240yen) in Beppu is covered by SunQpass.

Entry: 1030yen for 15mins sand bath

Next, take Bus 26 again and proceed to Chinoike Jigoku (血の池地獄前).
Entry: 400yen (2000yen for all 7 hells)
Took Bus 26 to Jigoku Mushi Kobo, Kannawa
500yen per 30min steaming session.
1200yen for clam set. Frozen set...... wasted meal, just some gimmick. Not fun and not nice to eat either.....
The clams was set to steam for 15min according to their protocol. Everything at least shrink to half their size and overcooked.
After the quick meal, walked 10mins up to Umi Jigoku (海地獄前).
Entry: 400yen
Walked to the opposite onsen for a rest.
Entry: 600yen
After onsen, took Bus 16 back to Beppu Station.
Kitahama Street
Had this 450yen deep fried chicken from the food court.
Whole day raining and tired , bought some food and eat in hostel instead.
Sashimi is very reasonable here.
This tonkatsu ramen really delicious, had bought some spring onion to add on :)
