Hongcun & Tunxi (Day 4)

Day 4

Eateries in Hangzhou East train station

Beef noodle with braised egg (37rmb)
Boarding gate in Hangzhou East train station is more open concept compare to Shanghai Train station.
Hangzhou East to Huangshan North (120rmb) 1h32m.

From Hangzhou North station, take a bus (2rmb) to Tunxi bus station.
Tunxi bus station
From Tunxi bus station, take bus to Hongcun (18rmb) 90m. Interval every hour.
Check bus timing here.
Buy admission ticket here, 104rmb pp.
I am lucky, got it at 52rmb on that day due to their holiday special rate.
Leave baggage is free here but they closed at 430pm.
I left my baggage here for 10rmb, just about 150metre away


There are many students come here for drawings.


From Hongcun, I took a carpool (拼车) 80rmb, 1h30m) back to Tunxi, sharing with 2 other passenger. If I take bus, I will need to transfer at Tunxi again.

Lookout  @ Xieli Scene (协里风光)
The driver dropped me at the entrance of Tunxi old street (屯溪老街).
This is the bridge towards Liyang old street (黎阳老街).
Alot of shop are selling chrysanthemum here, ink slab is also another famous produce in Anhui. 
Bought a brush for mum and forgot to negotiate, 150rmb...
And chrysanthemum (皇菊) for 80rmb
Ancient Town Youth Hostel (40rmb pn)
I can officially announced this is the worst hostel I ever stayed.
Graffiti everywhere, burnt curtain. Bed bugs
Smelly and broken toilet.
Bathroom
From Tunxi, walk about 10mins to Liyang street.


Liyang seems to be a less crowded street, more upper range and modern.
There are more drinking place here.

This is another favourite of this trip.
Total damage: 147rmb
Tea is free
I am lucky again to get this soup at 50% off, 49rmb.
This is a very big serving enough for 4 pax. I struggled and can only finish half of the soup hahaa. Very tasty and tons of nutrients..
干锅臭鲑鱼 (98rmb)
The fish is very fresh and they did it so well!
Fried salty fish with soy beans braised with the fish.
