Milan

Reached Milan 6.40am. Took the shuttle bus (10eur) and reached Milan Train station in 50mins.
Express train does not operate as often as bus at this hour.
6-7mins walk to Hotel Stazione and GG is already waited for me at the lobby. Left our luggage and start our early journey. Milan is the second largest city in Italy and capital of Lombardy. it is also main industrial, commercial and financial centre of Italy and a leading global city. Its business district host the Italian Stock Exchange and the headquarters of the largest national banks and companies. The city is a major world fashion and design capital.
About 25mins walk from our hotel, reached the world's oldest shopping mall.
Vittorio Emanuele Galleria II

One of the popular gelato in Milan, specially must try their pistachio.
GG had it 3x in Milan.
Cioccolati Italiani
It is still early around 8am, still not much of crowd yet.
Because of her attire, we need to turn back to hotel for a change before we can enter Duomo.

 Risotto alla Milanese (10eur)
Not really appealing, just taste some cheese and rice.
One of the restaurant near Duomo.
After lunch, we turned back to our hotel to check in.
Hotel Stazione
Clean room with a few steps up to the bathroom.
 Castello Sforzesco (Cairoli Station)
The Cathedral that takes almost 600 years to complete with decoration of more than 3,000 statues.
Most charming Gothic building in Milan.
Milan Duomo Duomo Station
We could see some black color mummified pope displayed in the glass coffin.

After Duomo we walked along the main shopping street, via Manzoni, via Montenapoleone.
And Quadrilateral before heading back to our hotel.

The hotel staff highly recommend a traditional Milanese restaurant which is very near to our hotel, 7mins walk.
Hosteria La Cadrega, via Gustavo Fara 1
2 first course and a bottle of mineral water cost 40(eur)
Guresh pappardelle and chicken vegetables spaghetti

I usually like salty food but this is too saltiest for me. We struggle to almost finish the food, price excludes tax and cover charge. Give a miss if possible.
Next morning 8.30am, we walked over to train station and proceed our journey to Venice.
 Milan Train station
The nicest train station I seen in Italy
Wait for your train number to appear on the screen and proceed to the platform then your coach.
This is so clear written on the board.
We had experience taking other train in other town/ city, no train number is written, we need to ask around which platform it is. Some last minute change platform and speaker only announce in Italian.....
High speed train with built-in WIFI.
Just requires registration on local mobile.
