Venice is the capital of Veneto Region. It is a city in northeastern Italy sited on a group of 118 small islands separated by canals and linked by bridges. The city is entirely listed as World Heritage Site along with its lagoon.
Reaching San Lucia station, we took line 1 vaporette to Rialto (7eur per trip).
Luckily able to squeeze in the waterbus, during peak hours the ferry is totally packed with people.
Wondering how safety it is? Won't it be overload?
We were lost when we reached Rialto. Although we have a map with drawing from our hotel. Road sign is not clear and eventually got to use Google map to navigate the location.
Hotel Serenissima
Most Hotels in Italy does not have elevator or lift.
So don't stay too high if possible.
Pleasant small rooms with tiny bathroom and a small TV box hang up the ceiling.
Bigger size person might have problem walking through the bathroom.
This is one of the most expensive accommodation we stayed in Italy.

Fountain water
Most of the place, the fountain water keep flowing with no stopper.
Water is cooling, refreshing and drinkable.
We prefer the water from these fountain than tap water.
Tap water is harder and usually can find some particles in it.
Ponte dei Pensieri
We walked to the end of Island and lost our way. There're a lot dead end, bridge. .. Our feet is already full of blisters and we still cannot find our way back.
Hardly can find people walking around here and of course we can't find any restroom.
Cannot find any chairs or canal to rest too:(

Lots of tourist is looking for their way out. Maps with a lot streets name not written, no road signs, some buildings attached with road names but some not. Lost in Venice seems a standard journey for most. It can be fun and can be frustrating when you need to go to washroom and finding a place to rest.
Walking in Italy is very challenging, a good walking shoes is a must. We wore slippers and walk around the entire journey since later day in Milan.
