Porto

Today is PORTO day!

PORTO is walkable without taking any transport but it is very hilly. Both Lisbon and Porto are beautiful, each has its own beauty and character.
Next time I will want to visit their seaside by taking the bus #500.
Amazing City and will want to come back again.
RUA DE SANTA CATARINA
Shopping Street.
Don't expect much shopping, mainly the standard few shops like Zara, Pull and Bears, Stradivarius...
MAJESTIC CAFE
The famous cafe in Porto, long Q at around 1030am
MERCADO DO BOLHAO

CAPELA DAS ALMAS
AVENIDA DOS ALIADOS
Pharmacy is easily found in Porto.
I got my Imodium (4.19eur) and Nurofen (3.70eur), less than half I paid in Italy.

PRAWN ASPARAGUS WITH SCRAMBLED EGG
LAGAREIRO STYLE OCTOPUS This is sosooo good! Tender and the grilled charred taste is fantastic!
VIOLET PANNACOTTA WITH CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM This is heavenly! Light, refreshing and the different level of taste blend in just appropriately.

CAIS DA RIBEIRA

PONTE DE DOM LUIS

STREET PERFORMER
RUA DOS CLERIGOS
IGREJA E TORRE DOS CLERIGOS
LIVRARIA LELLO & IRMAO
One of the most beautiful bookshop in the world. and inspiration for JK Rowling on Harry Potter's books. JK Rowling had lived in Porto for a few years as English Teacher before writing Harry Potter.
Entry fee @ 3eur deductible for books.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find a single English book after making a few rounds and pass my ticket to a student for her purchase.

Ticketing booth
Along this street, there are a lot restaurants, cafe and pubs. Very lively and vibrant.

This is the popular SANTIAGO CAFE.

A few locals indicate MUST TRY in Porto. Their signature dish Francesinha, Portuguese sandwich.
I was early, reached before 1900hr. Their dinner time is usually at 2030hrs onwards.
The seatings was full and queue was formed just after 1930hrs.
SUPER BOCK BEER 1.40eur
FRECESINHA SANTIAGO 9.50eur
meaning Little Frenchie or simply Frenchie in Portuguese.
Bread with ham, Topped with Melted Cheese and gravy.
The gravy consist of beer, tomatoes, butter etc...

Very filling portion, can easily fill up 2 pax. I cannot even finish half portion.
